Who is responsible
Peter J Webb is responsible for personal information handled through this website. This policy covers information provided through peterjwebb.com.au and the enquiry process described here. It does not cover how Meridian Legal or other linked organisations handle information in their own services; their privacy notices apply when you use those services.
What information this website collects
The contact form asks for your name, email address and message. A phone number and subject are optional.
When you select “Send message”, your contact details, message and security token are submitted to the website’s server. The server verifies the Cloudflare Turnstile token and uses Resend to email your enquiry to Peter J Webb. You do not need to open your own email application.
How enquiry information is used
Peter J Webb may use the information you submit to understand and respond to your enquiry and arrange any appropriate next steps. Your email address is included as the reply-to address so Peter can respond directly.
Sending an enquiry does not mean Peter J Webb or Meridian Legal has agreed to act for you, establish a solicitor-client relationship, or provide legal advice.
Information to avoid sending
Keep initial enquiries brief. Do not include identity documents, banking details, passwords, or confidential legal or business documents in an initial enquiry. Wait for instructions and an appropriate channel before sending sensitive material.
Storage, retention and security
The website’s server processes your enquiry to verify the security check and send it by email. Enquiries are not saved in an on-site database, and the application does not log message contents. Resend and Peter’s email system process and may retain the email and delivery records. Retention periods depend on those services and any applicable legal or professional obligations.
Email and internet communications may not be completely secure. Please include only information needed to respond to your enquiry.
Cookies, analytics and third-party services
Cloudflare Turnstile is used on the contact form to help prevent automated abuse. Turnstile processes browser, device and interaction information to perform its security check. A short-lived, single-use security token is sent to the website’s server and validated with Cloudflare before the enquiry is emailed. Cloudflare’s privacy policy applies to its processing.
Resend is used to deliver contact form emails. Your name, email address, optional phone number, subject and message are shared with Resend for this purpose, under its privacy terms.
This website does not currently use a server-side enquiry database, analytics service or advertising pixel. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts; Google may process technical request information when your browser retrieves those fonts, under Google’s privacy terms. The hosting provider may also process technical request information to deliver and secure the site.
Links to Meridian Legal, LinkedIn and other external websites take you to services operated by other organisations. Their privacy policies apply when you use those services.
Privacy requests and changes
You can ask about personal information you have sent, request access or correction, or raise a privacy concern. Requests will be handled under the privacy requirements that apply.
This notice may be updated if the website’s information-handling practices change. The latest version will be published on this page.
To make a privacy request, use the contact page and include “Privacy request” in your message.
